Hello Chant: (Slap thighs and clap hands in rhythm.  I usually let the kids choose opposites to do or sometimes we do animal sounds.)

Flannel Board Story:  I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie by Alison Jackson
The old lady who comes for Thanksgiving dinner has brought a mouthwatering pie and a monstrous appetite.  I used clipart and handed out a piece of food to the children to bring up at the right moment in time.
